Economical solution for substrates and inocula.

Key points

  • Polypropylene, autoclavable at 121 °C
  • 0.5 µm micro‑filter (equivalent to “A” filter) for controlled gas exchange
  • Size 45 × 20 × 12.5 cm, indicative capacity 2.5–3 kg of substrate
  • Suitable for fruiting substrates and inocula
  • Handle with care: lower robustness than Unicorn

What this product does

Incubate and colonise your substrates (straw, enriched sawdust, grains) cleanly without opening the container, thanks to the integrated filter that lets the mycelium breathe while limiting contamination.

Contents and specifications

Directions

  • Fill with prepared substrate and stand the bag upright.
  • Sterilise in autoclave/pressure cooker (121 °C) leaving the opening unsealed (folded, not airtight).
  • Inoculate under clean conditions (disinfected surface) — by mixing in or as a surface layer of mycelium.

FAQ

Which Unicorn filter grade is this comparable to?
Comparable to the “A” filter (≈ 0.5 µm).

How much substrate per bag?
Around 2.5–3 kg depending on mix density.

Can I autoclave these bags?
Yes, they withstand 121 °C. Handle carefully when hot.

How do they differ from Unicorn bags?
Satrise is more economical but typically a bit less robust: handle and seal with care.
